Welcome to Amington’s Student Parliament
At Amington, our Student Parliament is at the heart of student voice and leadership. It provides every student with the chance to be heard, to make a difference, and to actively shape our school community. Guided by our ethos of being ambitious, brave, and kind, the Student Parliament raises awareness of important issues, drives positive change, and ensures that every student feels supported and valued.
Our Houses committees and Their Focus:
Everest – Charity
Everest is dedicated to giving back, raising awareness, and supporting both local and global causes. They lead fundraising efforts and inspire others to take ambitious steps in showing kindness to those in need.
Kilimanjaro – Diversity
Kilimanjaro champions inclusivity and celebrates the unique qualities that make each member of our school community special. They work bravely to ensure that every voice is represented and that diversity is recognised as a source of strength.
Elbrus – Community
Elbrus focuses on building connections and creating a strong, supportive school and local community. Through ambitious projects and events, they promote kindness and teamwork to bring people together.
Denali – Anti-Bullying and Kindness
Denali stands firmly against bullying and leads on spreading kindness throughout our school. They encourage students to be brave in standing up for others and work to ensure Amington is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Mental Health Ambassadors
We are proud to have ten dedicated Mental Health Ambassadors who have successfully completed their Level 1 training. These students are approachable, supportive peers who are trained to listen and guide others towards the help they may need. They play a vital role in ensuring that wellbeing remains at the forefront of our school, offering kindness and understanding to anyone who needs it.
