Landau Forte Academy Amington offers a wide curriculum that enhances and develops the learning power of the students.  The current Key Stage 3 curriculum prepares for guided option choices that are chosen in the middle of Year 9.

Year 9 Guided Choices

New Assessment Framework

The presentation below explains how each student is given their target grade, the number of formal assessments each student undertakes each year and how this forms target bands on reports. Students either study for the new reformed GCSEs or legacy GCSEs depending on which year group they are in. Each tracking report is either followed by a parental consultation with the personal tutor or a parents’ evening.

Key Stage 3 Extended Learning

At Landau Forte Academy Amington Extended Learning is set rather than traditional ‘homework’. The work set is to extend the learning that takes place in sessions. Students can use Personal Tutor Time or the extended day to complete the work as well as taking the work home if they desire.
