The aim of our KS3 assessment model is to make it easy for parents to understand how your child is progressing through their time at Amington.
For most subjects, student scores are adjusted to fall within the range of 80 to 120, with standardisation making the average score across the year group ‘100’ for each subject. This process enables convenient comparisons of performance across different subjects, as the scores are scaled to be comparable.
For the more practical subjects, rather than being given a scaled assessment score, students are graded on their skills demonstrated through practical activity.
