SEND Local Offer & Report

Landau Forte Academy Amington is committed to the principle that every student has individual needs and an entitlement to the full curriculum. We are fully inclusive in our provision:

  • Social background
  • Ability
  • Ethnicity
  • Religion
  • Gender
  • Sexuality

We believe that every tutor is a tutor of every child/young person including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We advocate that all students should have access to the best education in order to prepare them for their futures. Therefore we are continually endeavouring to improve the levels of attainment and progress for all students in order for them to achieve their potential.

Our SEND policy and report details are included in the documents below. If you would like more information on Staffordshire County Council’s Local Offer please visit their website:

Our SEND Team

We strive to support children to enable them to achieve their targets, goals and dreams. We also take into account the needs of the dyslexic learner and provide a dyslexia friendly learning environment. In order to do this many steps are taken to support them through their learning journey.

Quality teaching is vital; however for some students there are occasions when further additional support may be needed to help them achieve their best.

This is where our highly qualified SEND team step in.

The SEND Team consists of:

  • Mrs Gill Minchin
    SENCo
  • Miss K McDevitt
    Assistant SENCo

We also have a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants and HLTA.

We have provided some additional SEND information below, which we hope you may find useful:
