++ Tamworth school partnership to help most vulnerable in the community ++
Staff from across Landau Forte Charitable Trust have come together to help the most vulnerable in their local community. Every school in the Trust has previously run their own community wellbeing projects, but they are now coordinating efforts under the leadership of Nikki Howley, Attendance Manager at Landau Forte Academy Amington, to have far greater impact.
Working in partnership with the Tamworth Self Isolation Support Group and the Tamworth Food Bank, staff are donating food and essential items to those in need. Staff have also donated to the JustGiving fundraising page for the community organisations to help get vital supplies to those who are struggling the most.
Andrew Deen, Principal at Landau Forte Academy Amington, said:
“Our aim is to do some good for those most in need at this difficult time. We know that vulnerable families in our community are really struggling and we realised that we could have far more impact if we worked together, rather than as individual schools.”
Sarah Findlay-Cobb, CEO at Landau Forte Charitable Trust, said:
“We teach all our students to be kind, compassionate and big hearted, and projects like this show that our staff live the values they teach. I’m very proud of every member of Landau Forte staff involved with this project, and I’m sure this project will really benefit those families who desperately need help.”
