As part of the Government’s strategy to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, NHS Test and Trace has developed the new NHS COVID-19 app. This is now available to download from the App Store using an iPhone or Google Play if using an Android device.

The idea behind the app is to help people understand and manage their own personal risk, as well as reducing the spread of Coronavirus. The more people that download and use the app, the more effective it can be – every person who downloads the app is helping fight against Coronavirus.
Downloading the app is easy and free, and it is simple to use. It allows users to check if they have symptoms of Coronavirus, to ‘check in’ if they go to a public space, to assess the level of risk around them, and to help trace contacts of anyone affected by Coronavirus.
