Dear Parent/Carer,
In line with our Academy calendar, Year 9 Parents’ Afternoon will take place on Thursday 22nd April, through an on-line platform, and further details will follow for those parents and carers involved.
In order to facilitate this important event, students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be dismissed, from onsite provision, beginning at 12.30 and concluding at 13.10. These timings will ensure all students will receive a break and a lunch on-site, as usual.
Following dismissal, students in Years 7, 8 and 10 will then learn remotely from home, via a prerecorded lesson available on Microsoft Teams, from 14.00. While students in Year 9 will be expected to be present with parents, via the video appointments for the Parents’ Afternoon, where possible.
Year 11 students will remain on site to sit a Science Mini-Mock paper until 15.20 and will then be dismissed at the end of the examination.
