Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to inform you that we have been made aware of a small number of positive Covid 19 cases across the school in recent days.
We have carried out rapid risk assessments to confirm the close contacts of all individuals who have tested positive, and on the advice of Public Health England, the whole of Year 8 and a ‘bubble’ of year 9 students must isolate for 10 days. The individual families affected were contacted directly earlier today.
In addition, as a consequence of these positive cases, we have taken the decision to move to remote learning for two other year groups, for one day each of this week. On Wednesday, Year 7 will learn from home and on Friday, Year 9 will learn from home. We will continue to offer a highquality education to all of these students through our remote learning provision.
The safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority as a school, and we have taken this step in order to ensure their wellbeing. We are in regular communication with Public Health England to ensure our Covid safeguards are as effective as they can be, and will continue to maintain our enhanced cleaning regime across the school.
As part of our efforts to ensure the school remains as safe as possible, it is vitally important that students and staff continue to take the twice weekly lateral flow test to reduce the spread of Covid 19.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please do contact the school office and we’d be delighted to speak to you in greater detail.
Yours sincerely,
Mr A Deen
Principal
