Our Ref: 2021/040/AND/SAF
30th November 2021
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to inform you that due to the latest Government guidance we will be asking our staff and students to wear face coverings in communal areas across the school site. The Government has recommended that face coverings be worn in all communal areas in the interest of protecting students and staff.
The Government guidance is temporary and is due to be reviewed in three weeks. We will continue to follow this guidance in the interest of minimising the risk of transmission and ensuring our school site remains as safe as possible.
Students will not be expected to wear a face covering in the classroom, but will be permitted should they so wish. Students who are exempt from wearing a face covering will of course not be expected to wear one.
Our staff will be speaking to students about the introduction of this policy and to explain why it is being implemented, and will ensure they have the ability to feedback on this. We will also continue to encourage students to maintain good hand hygiene, maintain our enhanced cleaning regime, and ensure the school sites are adequately ventilated.
We are taking these measures as the safety of our staff and students will always be our utmost priority.
We are introducing this policy throughout the schools of the Landau Forte Charitable Trust for Year 7 students and above.
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please do contact the academy by phone or EduLink and we would be delighted to speak to you at greater length.
Yours sincerely,
Mr A Deen
Principal
