Year 9 – Curriculum Pathways Information Evening Thursday 20 March 2025 (4pm – 6.30pm)
We are delighted to invite you to attend our Year 9 ‘Parents’ Afternoon’ and ‘Curriculum Pathways information Evening’ on Thursday 20 March, this evening will be based in the Academy building.
On attending the evening, you will be issued with a named envelope in reception containing: a copy of your child’s report, a copy of your child’s Curriculum Pathway Form that will need to be completed and a map of where subjects will be based for the evening. On the back of the Curriculum Pathway Form will be a link to your copy of the Curriculum Pathway booklet, which contains all the details of individual courses.
During this evening, you will be provided with an important Curriculum Pathways information presentation in the theatre, this presentation will be repeated three times, the first will take place at 4.20pm and will be repeated at 5.20pm and 6.00pm. Each presentation will last 20 minutes.
You will also have the opportunity to have face-to-face Parents Afternoon appointments with your child’s teachers in English, Mathematics and Science. Please visit https://lfamington.parentseveningsystem.co.uk to book your appointment before the evening, please note these will be face-to-face appointments within the academy building and not via video calls. The appointment booking system will open on Thursday 6 March at 7.00pm and close on Wednesday 19 March at 11.00pm.
If you are planning to attend one of the three presentations in the theatre at 4.20pm, 5.20pm or 6.00pm, please ensure you have not made an appointment to see an English, Mathematics or Science teacher during one of the 20 minutes of the presentation slots.
Teachers from all other subjects will be available for any questions about their subjects, allowing you to gather information on your child’s progress and advice on whether to choose that subject at Key Stage 4.
If you are unable to attend this evening, the academy will post your Curriculum Pathway home the following day.
