Dear Parents/Guardians of Year 11 Students,

As your child approaches their final exams, we understand that this can be both an exciting and challenging time. To support both students and parents during this crucial period, we are pleased to invite you to our Year 11 Information Evening on Thursday 3rd April, 4.15pm-6.15pm.

The purpose of this evening is to provide valuable guidance on effective revision strategies, time management techniques, and ways to support students at home during their studies. Our Subject Leaders will share subject-specific advice and useful resources to help students maximise their potential. We will also discuss strategies for managing exam stress and maintaining a healthy balance during this intense period.

As part of the evening, there will be a presentation on ‘Supporting Your Child’s Revision’, where we will offer practical tips on creating a productive study environment, encouraging motivation, and helping students structure their revision effectively. This session aims to equip parents with the tools to provide meaningful support throughout the exam season.

Additionally, some students will have an invited appointment with a Faculty Leader or Deputy Faculty Leader to discuss their progress in the most recent mock exams. These appointments will be for selected students only, based on their performance, and are designed to provide targeted support to help them improve ahead of their final exams. If your child has been identified in this group, you will receive a message via Bromcom from Miss Frost to inform you that the appointments are available to book using our usual parents’ evening system.

We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to attend and encourage students to accompany you. There will be representatives from Careers, SEND and our pastoral team to offer advice and discuss any concerns you may have.

We look forward to seeing you there and would like to thank you for your continued support of our Year 11 students this year.

Yours sincerely, Mrs F Martin Assistant Principal: Curriculum and Staff Development
