Quality assurance is a systematic process, which ensures standards are the best they can be. We have a robust quality assurance system which triangulates a range of sources from teachers, departments and whole school, to help ensure we are routinely delivering an excellent quality of education. The type of sources we use to measure and assess our quality of education include:
Teacher
- Lessons observations – used to measure the quality of teaching and learning
- Class progress – used to measure where gaps in student learning exist
- Subject knowledge – used to measure subject specific knowledge and development
Department
- Department drop ins – used to measure the quality of student learning in subjects
- Work scrutiny – used to measure the progress of teaching groups
- Line management meetings – used to measure the effectiveness of department systems
Whole school
- Learning walks – used to measure the quality of student learning across the Academy
- Assessment data – used to measure gaps in cohorts or sub group learning
- Student and staff voice – used to measure the level of staff and student satisfaction
