The Academy aims to provide a high quality curriculum pathway, tailored to the personal needs of each student. This pathway is designed to enable progression after Year 11 to either A levels, further vocational education or employment with training.
The Core
All students will study a Core Curriculum of GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Mathematics, GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or GCSE Combined Science, PSHE, Core Moral Studies and Core PE.

Supplementing the Core is a wide suite of GCSEs:

- Computer Science
- Performing Arts
- Design Technology Resistant Materials or Textiles
- Philosophy & Ethics
- Triple Science

Vocational subjects
For those students who benefit from a more vocational approach, the Academy offers a series of BTECs and Cambridge Nationals which can be studied alongside GCSEs:
- Health & Social Care (Cambridge National)
- Music (BTEC)
- Sport (Cambridge National)
- Performing Arts: Dance (BTEC)
- Enterprise and Marketing (Cambridge National)
- ICT (Cambridge National)
- Engineering (BTEC)
Year 10 curriculum
As your child progresses through Year 10 and into Year 11 they will be faced with many different expectations and challenges. We know that in order for your child to be successful they will need support from the Academy and yourselves at home.

Year 11 marks the culmination of many year’s hard work and effort and we know that in order for your child to be successful they will need support from the Academy and yourselves at home.
